Sea of Change: Dapplegray Elementary School

"Sea of Change" 🌊🖌️💙
This mural is more than art—it’s release. It’s reflection. It’s healing.
Sea of Change was painted in honor of my late wife, Carrie Ann, on the same campus where she taught with love, laughter, and unwavering grace. With the help of her students—still carrying fresh memories of her—we created something abstract, emotional, and alive.

They’d show up to school, eyes wide, asking if I was okay after hearing me cry through the walls. Then they’d tell me what they missed most about her. Her voice. Her hugs. Her funny sayings. We turned those memories into movement—every brushstroke a tide of remembrance.

Together, we made a space for sadness, for love, and for transformation.
Because grief, like the ocean, is deep… but it carries us forward.
